Bottom Drop Quench Furnace

Top-loaded furnace with bottom-drop quench for distortion-sensitive parts.

Also known as: Drop-bottom quench furnace, Drop-bottom furnace

Bottom Drop Quench Furnace

Overview

The Bottom Drop Quench Furnace is designed and built by Trimurti Furnace in Nashik, India, for aerospace components and distortion-sensitive long parts. Capacity can be changed as per your requirement. Each furnace is engineered to the customer's parts and throughput by Trimurti Furnace Pvt. Ltd., an ISO 9001-certified manufacturer since 1991.

Bottom-drop configuration minimises charge handling and distortion on long or thin-section parts. Built around a sealed atmosphere chamber and an integrated quench tank below the hearth.

Engineering Perspective

When push-quench bends the part, drop-quench saves it.

Gravity is an even loader. A bottom-drop quench lets the part fall into oil under its own weight — no mechanical bias, no asymmetric force on a thin section. Aerospace shops choose this configuration when distortion would otherwise scrap the part.

Why engineers specify it
  • Gravity quench — even loading on every cycle
  • Best-in-class for long, thin-section parts
  • Sealed atmosphere throughout the cycle

Applications

Built for these processes

  • Aerospace components
  • Distortion-sensitive long parts
